Yoga practice outdoors can do wonders for clearing the mind. Luckily, Dutchess County has several open air opportunities to say "om." Shavasana at sunset overlooking Hudson Valley orchards, find inner peace along the river, cat-cow on gorgeous alpaca farms and more! Read on for unforgettable natural yoga experiences.

Llamaste Yoga at Clover Brooke Farm, Hyde Park

Practicing yoga in the great outdoors can be an immensely tranquil experience—especially in the heart of New York’s Hudson Valley. However, Clover Brooke Farm in Hyde Park ups the relaxation factor even further with the soothing presence of their friendly llamas and alpacas. Sign up for a Llamaste Yoga class to learn the essentials of yoga, while taking in the beauty of the farm. Plus, every session includes the opportunity to handcraft a lavender loofah, another lovely self-care experience! Classes are select Saturdays (1 p.m.) May through October.

Yoga on the Farm at Fishkill Farms, Hopewell Junction

Fishkill Farms is a prime Dutchess County destination. It offers pick-your-own produce in the summer and fall, along with a three-season Treasury Cider bar. In addition, Fishkill Farms hosts summer Saturday yoga sessions mAY 24-October 11 led by local studio Red Tail Power Yoga. Breathe in the fresh air on their western hillside, overlooking the orchards from their wrap-around porch. It’s a magical experience! Classes start a 9 a.m. (doors at 8:30 a.m.)

Riverside Yoga with beBhakti Yoga Center, Beacon

Visits to Long Dock Park are among the best ways to experience the Hudson River. Did you know you could take a yoga class with a view of the water? beBhakti Yoga Center offers regular Wednesday at this Scenic Hudson park in Beacon, utilizing fresh air and the restorative presence of the river. Daily Practice at Omega Institute, Rhinebeck

Programs are only open to those registered for a workshop, staying at Omega's campus or paying the commuter fee. For more information, click here.

This non-profit organization can be found on 250 breathtaking acres in the heart of the Hudson Valley. Omega, since its inception in 1977, has remained dedicated to holistic studies, spiritual development and creativity. Stay at their Rhinebeck campus to participate in daily open classes in yoga, Tai Chi and meditation. Classes are at 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Paired with three farm-to-table meals per day, a weekend retreat aims to cleanse the body and mind. With plenty of tranquil gardens, ponds, woodland sanctuaries and other locations onsite, Omega is the place to find inner peace.

Alpaca Treks at Lilymore Farm, Pleasant Valley

Is hiking more your speed? Cozy up to a Hudson Valley alpaca while trekking along gorgeous trails at Lilymore Farm. This Dutchess destination features shady woods and charming meadows, creating an unforgettable experience. Book a group hike for up to six friends, and spend time bonding with a graceful creature while traversing a breathtaking landscape.

Run, Walk or Bike the Trails at Greig Farm, Red Hook

This third-generation family farm in Red Hook also boasts 4 miles of trails. Curated paths guide visitors through through the scenic landscape, and specialized loops showcase berry patches, views of the Catskill Mountains, pygmy goats, koi ponds and more. Keep your eye open for the long-time resident blue heron on the aptly named blue heron trail.
