The Great Pollinator Ramble

Saturday, May 23, 2–4 p.m., at Innisfree Garden, Millbrook

If it's peace and tranquility you crave, you'll find them at Innisfree Garden. The 185-acre public garden will come to life with The Great Pollinator Ramble, as larger-than-life pollinator puppets created by Processional Arts Workshop will inhabit the pathways, groves, and hidden pockets of the garden. Visitors can wander about and find different species of Hudson Valley bees, butterflies, beetles, and birds hidden among the greenery. Guided by a map and details on each species, aspiring naturalists can learn to identify key pollinators while experiencing the thrill of a landscape "buzzing" with possibilities. With its beautiful flowers and plants, breathtaking rock formations, and all sorts of wildlife, Innisfree is truly a sight to behold. It's listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is widely regarded as one of the world’s finest gardens. Bring a picnic breakfast or lunch and spend the whole day! Plus, this event falls on Innisfree's Community Day, so residents of select Northeast Dutchess County communities (Amenia, Clinton Corners, Dover Plains, Millbrook, Millerton, North East, Pine Plains, Pleasant Valley, Stanford, Washington, Wassaic, Wingdale and their hamlets) receive free admission and discounted event tickets (proof of address required).
