Dutchess Tourism, Inc. (DTI) will celebrate National Travel & Tourism Week (NTTW) by hosting its annual Brochure Exchange at the Mid-Hudson Discovery Museum Pavilion on May 9, 2023, at 9 a.m. The morning will include remarks from Dutchess County Executive William F.X. O'Neil and from Dutchess Tourism President & CEO Melaine Rottkamp, who will give a brief industry update and share the outlook for tourism in Dutchess in 2023. Individuals who have been certified as a Dutchess Tourism Ambassador will also be recognized.
Tourism-related businesses located in Dutchess County are invited to bring at least 300 of their brochures to share in order to cross-promote to visitors. By building connections and forming partnerships, tourism-related businesses can better inform visitors about each other, encouraging people to stay in Dutchess longer and boosting visitor spending. Advance registration for this free event is required and can be found at dutchesstourism.com/national-travel-tourism-week. Event is open to tourism-related businesses in Dutchess County only.
May 7-13, 2023, marks the 40th anniversary of NTTW. The annual tradition celebrates the contributions of the U.S. travel industry and will spotlight the essential role that travel will play in driving economic growth and innovation through the theme #TravelForward.
Copies of Dutchess Tourism’s latest publications, including the new 2023 Discover Dutchess Destination Guide, Craft Beverage Trail Map, Contemporary Arts Trail, Bike Tour Guide and the Dutchess County Farm Finder, will be distributed.
