Dutchess Tourism, Inc. (DTI) is proud to announce Kristina Isabel Mukherjee as its new director of marketing and communications. In her role, Mukherjee will be responsible for external marketing and public relations efforts and overseeing content development across print and digital platforms, including the annual Destination Guide.
“We’re pleased to have Kristina, a long-time supporter of Dutchess Tourism, join the team. Her branding expertise paired with her previous work with media, government, and community partners will be of great value,” said Melaine Rottkamp, president and CEO of Dutchess Tourism.
Mukherjee brings over 15 years of marketing and communications experience in both the corporate and nonprofit sectors, including the Times Square Alliance, co-producers of the New Year’s Eve Ball Drop, and MTV’s former college network, MTVU. Having an extensive background in brand development, she understands the significance of positioning the county as an attractive and desirable destination to foster continued economic development and growth. Mukherjee holds a B.A. in Media Studies from the University of San Francisco.
“I am thrilled to be representing Dutchess County in this new capacity and am most looking forward to partnering with local businesses to showcase the county’s diverse community assets,” said Mukherjee. “Having lived here for a little over a decade, I still see myself as a tourist. I’m always exploring all that Dutchess County has to offer—its spectacular views, historical significance, and ever-growing options for entertainment and dining.”
