For six weeks each summer, the Powerhouse Season brings fully-produced plays, musical workshops and readings of works in progress to the Vassar College campus. More than 200 professional artists bring to life 20-25 new works. Major Broadway productions that got their start at Powerhouse include: Hamilton; Hadestown; Doubt; The Humans; Bright Star; and Diana.
Simulataneously, the Theater Training Program gives aspiring college and late high school-aged students a chance to immerse themselves in acting, directing and playwriting. The Training Company offers free public performances throughout the season.
