Visit the museum of the Hyde Park Historical Society and see an extensive collection of historical artifacts donated by local residents. They have the 1932 voting machine that FDR and Eleanor used when he ran against President Hoover, with the ballot still intact. There is an exhibit of the U.S. Army's 240th Military Police Battalion from when they were in Hyde Park to guard President Roosevelt. The Museum is located in a restored firehouse building. The museum will be open from June 3 through Oct. 28, 2023, on Wednesdays from 5 - 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
