Elevation 1,492 feet. 90-foot tower reached by hiking trails at base of mountain. Look down on eagles, hawks, vultures and crows in flight. See the Hudson Valley from Albany south to Ulster and from the Catskills east to Mass. and Conn. Trails can be wet and slippery in sections, so proper footwear is recommended. The Stissing Fire Tower is owned and maintained by the Friends of Stissing Landmarks, a not-for-profit entity.
