Discover the history of the original 1764 Quaker Meeting House that served as a hospital for George Washington's troops in 1778. The first settler on Quaker Hill was Nathan Birdsall, who was a surveyor and a Quaker. Soon after, others of his faith joined and established a flourishing farming community. Visitors are welcome to tour the Quakers’ meeting house and find it as it looked back then with its rows of wooden benches, wall partitions on pulley systems, and mezzanine viewing level
