Maitri Farm grows organic vegetables and cut flowers using holistic agricultural practices. Their certified New York-grown cut flowers follow a minimal-till program and use no synthetic sprays. All of their vegetables are NOFA-NY certified organic.
Their farm stand is open during the summer and early fall on Fridays from 1 - 6 p.m. and the first and third Saturday of the month from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. You-pick is also available during the season on Fridays from 1 - 6 p.m.; check their website for updates.
Depending on what is in season, you can find all sorts of produce, including garlic, sweet potatoes, several varieties of peppers, heirloom tomatoes, eggplant, sweet corn, cucumbers, and an assortment of herbs, plus much more, along with flowers like peonies, sunflowers and others.
Maitri Farm is committed to being a good steward of the land, and they work carefully to preserve local wetlands and waterways, reduce erosion and increase wildlife habitat while reducing invasive plant species. Their field practices include careful crop rotations, intensive cover cropping and fallowing, intercropping and careful monitoring of their irrigation practices.
