Looking for a unique way to capture your portrait or a timeless keepsake? Beacon Tintype is a wet plate collodion portrait studio in the Hudson Valley. They make heirloom, handmade portraits on tin (tintypes) and glass (ambrotypes) in a 19th century technique that is hauntingly timeless and incredibly archival. These one-of-a-kind objects are meant to be handed down for generations. The studio accepts both walk-ins as well as appointments in our studio as well as offering location and special event shoots.
