Founded in 1860, Bard College's liberal arts program is ranked among the nation's best. Overlooking the Hudson River in charming Annandale-on-Hudson, the 1,000-acre campus is a superb setting for its 1,900 undergraduate students who can earn degrees in 35 academic programs. The Levy Economics Institute hosts conferences and lectures on economic and policy issues. The campus is also home to the Bard Conservatory of Music and The Fisher Center, which hosts a wide range of music, drama, and dance performances including Bard SummerScape and the Bard Music Festival. The Center for Curatorial Studies also features exhibitions of contemporary art in their Hessel Museum.
