Join Poughkeepsie Public Library’s Local History Librarian Kira Thompson as she explores the centuries old history of Poughkeepsie's waterfront area. From transportation to commerce to recreation, the waterfront's geography and relationship to Poughkeepsie has been ever-changing, but it remains a vital part of the city. They will use maps and other materials from their collection to explore what once resided there, and what the waterfront represents for us today. For more information click here.
