Join Cary Institute for a presentation by Jeremy Jackson, Emeritus Professor of Oceanography at Scripps Institution of Oceanography and Senior Scientist Emeritus at Smithsonian Institution.

Mounting environmental crises—extreme weather events, uncontrollable fires, rising sea levels, droughts, and unsustainable agriculture—are pushing America toward a series of alarming environmental and economic breaking points. Jeremy Jackson will discuss environmental threats facing the US and ways that communities are aiming to achieve greater environmental stability.

The event will be held in the Cary Institute auditorium. The event is free, registration is required; seating is first come, first served.

Books will be available for purchase from Merritt Bookstore.
