Illustrated Lecture: "Strange Bedfellows: The Hoyt House, the Mansion at Staatsburgh, and the Development of 19th-Century American Architecture"

William Krattinger, New York State Parks Historian, will compare these two neighboring structures in Mills Norrie State Park, designed by illustrious architects Calvert Vaux and Stanford White.

The lecture, at the Hoyt house, will be followed by a private reception in the Staatsburgh State Historic Site’s Gilded Age dining room. Proceeds to benefit the Calvert Vaux Preservation Alliance’s ongoing efforts to restore and repurpose the Hoyt House and The Point.
