"Voices of Val-Kill: A Centennial Celebration" at the FDR Presidential Library

The National Park Service of Hyde Park and the Eleanor Roosevelt Center at Val-Kill present "Voices of Val-Kill," a special panel discussion celebrating the 100th anniversary of Val-Kill in Hyde Park. Through firsthand perspectives and reflections, the panel will explore why saving Val-Kill mattered, the obstacles and victories encountered along the way, and the enduring historical importance of preserving the place Eleanor Roosevelt called home. The program will tell the remarkable story of the people who came together to save Val-Kill from development — and whose tireless determination ultimately helped create the first and only National Historic Site dedicated to a first lady, a leader at the United Nations and a world diplomat. 

This event will be held at the Henry A. Wallace Center at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum.
