Walking Tour of Springside National Historic Landmark

Join Historian Shannon Butler on a walking tour through Springside National Historic Landmark. Laid out by the prominent Hudson Valley landscape architect Andrew Jackson Downing, Springside was designed to be a beautifully landscaped retreat for local brewer and philanthropist, Matthew Vassar. Today the site’s paths are still preserved to show how Downing wanted people to use and enjoy the land.
