County Players, one of the longest-running community theatre companies in the area, is proud to continue their 69th season with the offbeat adult comedy by Julia Cho: The Language Archive. This Main Stage production, directed by Kit Colbourn, runs from Sept. 1126 with performances on Fridays and Saturdays (Sept. 11, 12, 18, 19, 25, and 26) at 8 p.m. and matinees on Sunday, Sept. 20, and Saturday, Sept. 26, at 2 p.m. (there will be two shows on Sept. 26).
Will a man who speaks nine languages ever learn to communicate with his wife? Will the last two speakers of a soon-to-be dead language break their vow of silence? The lives of five people are imaginatively woven together as they discover that no matter how many words they can speak, its the hearts language that matters most a fable about the limits of language in matters of the heart.
This production features the local talents of Vinnie Cuccia, Rich Hack, Stephanie Hepburn, Janet Nurre, Ted Odell, Bill Peckham, Jenn Propfe, Elan Riggs, Julie Seltzer, and Doug Woolley.
