Silent Book Club at Innisfree Garden

Join the Millbrook Silent Book Club for a quiet, companionable afternoon of reading on the grounds of Innisfree Garden. Gather on Innisfree’s scenic overlook to enjoy books, conversation, and time in the landscape. There is no assigned reading — bring whatever you are currently reading, or borrow from a provided selection of nature-themed books.

The afternoon will begin with time to arrive, have a snack, and mingle before settling in for a shared quiet reading hour. Participants are welcome to stay afterward for optional socializing or more reading.

All readers are welcome, whether you prefer fiction, nonfiction, poetry, eBooks, or audiobooks.

Please bring your book, eBook, audiobook, or other reading material, along with a folding chair for this outdoor gathering. Headphones are requested for anyone listening to music or an audiobook. Snacks and lemonade will be provided.

Millbrook Silent Book Club is presented by the Millbrook Library with the support of Innisfree Garden. The group hopes to meet monthly, outdoors at Innisfree during the warmer months and by the fireplace at the library when the weather calls for cozier quarters. Suggestions for other community meeting places are welcome.
