Explore a historic tavern! Step inside the Elmendorph Inn and experience a new exhibit exploring the building’s history as a tavern, gathering place, workplace, and center of community life.

Visitors can explore:
• An immersive soundscape that follows the tavern through a full day of activity
• Tabletop conversation prompts about food and drink, travel, news, politics, and daily life
• Hands-on activities and reproduction objects
• Stories of the people who worked, traveled, gathered, and did business here
• A take-home tea and punch activity inspired by historic recipes

This is exhibit is made possible with funding from Dutchess County for the 250th Anniversary of the American Revolution.
