Escape from New York: 1776 Edition

There's no Snake Plissken in this story, but there are plenty of redcoats, bluecoats, militiamen, civilians, and non-stop Rev War action!

This story ends with half of Manhattan burning to the ground. It begins with the Continental Army's frantic attempts to halt a methodical, relentless British advance on the city. New York has the finest harbor in the hemisphere and the British need it for their effort to re-take their rebellious, separatist American Colonies. Join Dutchess County Historian Will Tatum for a blow-by-blow retelling of the defense and loss of NYC, resulting in the great fire of 1776. Pick up the story of the Dutchess County Minutemen that begins with the Old Drovers Inn program on Aug. 5. This real-life story has all of the makings of an action movie plot.
