Butterfly Day at Bannerman Castle on Pollepel Island

Enjoy an informative talk about the incredible Monarch butterflies who visit Bannerman Island each year on their journey south. This popular event for people of all ages includes a self-guided walking tour of Bannerman Island and the cruise on the Estuary Steward tour boat. Plus, meet artist Kathleen Griffin and hear more about her project, “The Butterflies of Memory,” a new Bannerman Island art installation. Boats leave for the island at 11 a.m. and 12 p.m.
