The East Fishkill Historical Society presents a day of demonstrations by skilled colonial craftspeople, including blacksmithing, woodcarving, gunsmithing, spinning and wool-dying, broom-making, candle-making, stone masonry, hat-making, open-hearth cooking and baking in the beehive bake oven, and a special demonstration of colonial iron smelting in a bloom furnace.

The Brinckerhoff House Historic Site property, which includes the Dutch farmhouse, the schoolhouse (circa 1826), the carriage barn (circa 1845), the ice house (circa 1870), and the blacksmith shop (circa 1880) are all preserved and protected by the East Fishkill Historical Society.
