Beekman Arms Inn Celebrates 260th Anniversary with Revolutionary War History Fair, Fireworks

As America celebrates its 250th anniversary, the Beekman Arms Inn, America's oldest continuously operating inn, celebrates its 260th. There will be a Revolutionary War history fair to mark the occasion, including a dramatic reading of the Declaration of Independence, and the Fifth New York Regiment will be on hand to present an authentic living history program with military drill demonstrations, camp life presentations, 18th-century music (fife and drum, harpsichord) and a musket firing. Enjoy a lively, family-friendly program of Revolutionary tales by storyteller Jonathan Kruk. Then, gather at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds at 7 p.m. for fireworks!
