Artists in the Garden at the Beatrix Farrand Garden at Bellefield: Live Demonstrations & Juried Exhibition

The Beatrix Farrand Garden will offer two free, simultaneous daytime events that will bring art into the garden! Visitors can enjoy a free day, strolling through the garden and watching multiple local artists giving live demonstrations of their various artistic talents — painting, sketching, photography, and pottery. Garden visitors can observe the artists, ask questions, learn and enjoy — and are welcome to bring their own supplies and try their hand!

Also, the Beatrix Farrand Garden Association will present a free Artists in the Garden exhibition featuring artwork created in or inspired by the Beatrix Farrand Garden. The free exhibition will be open from 10 a.m.–5 p.m. at the Wallace Center, adjacent to the Beatrix Farrand Garden. Works in the exhibit will include oil, acrylic, watercolor paintings, drawings, photography, pottery, and mixed media.

Professional and amateur artists alike are encouraged to create and submit works they have completed in or have been inspired by the garden by emailing an inquiry to Info@bfgahydepark.org. The deadline for exhibition submittals is Aug. 20, 2026.
