Mount Gulian Historic Site will hold its 30th Annual History Dinner in celebration of Americas 250th Anniversary of Independence from Great Britain. This living-history event is open to the public and will present General George Washington, Commander in Chief of the Continental Army.
The evening will showcase a catered affair, including a sumptuous four-course dinner inspired by General Washingtons culinary favorites. Cocktails and hors doeuvres will be served on the scenic riverside lawn prior to dinner.
Actor Doug Thomas of the American Historical Theatre will portray the honored guest. Diners will be invited to experience the world of the newly forming nation and the Continental Army through the eyes of the general, and future first President, who remained faithful to the principles of independence for which he and his country had fought. Guests will hear the general recount some of his famous moments during the struggle for American independence, including The First Battle of Trenton, and his Rules of Civility. The generals presentation will be followed by questions and answers.
The dinner, prepared by Bridgecreek Catering, will be served in Mount Gulians 18th century Dutch barn. Prepaid reservations are required by May 16, 2026. For an invitation and further information, contact Mount Gulian at (845) 831-8172, email info@mountgulian.org, or visit the website at www.mountgulian.org.
