Step inside historic colonial-era homes on this new tour, offered April 25 only!

One of New York's original counties, the Dutchess County of today has preserved much of its rural character and the homes that have defined its landscape for centuries. This tour will bring you inside several colonial-era homes found in Hopewell Junction (East Fishkill), Wingdale, and — just over the border in Putnam County — one in Patterson! Many more will be highlighted from the comfort of the charter bus.

The vernacular Cape Cod-style dwelling, stately Federal-style homes, and the signature "eyebrow windows" that the region is known for are some topics of colonial-era architecture that will be seen and discussed on this tour, along with stories about the people and history of these places.

Interior stops include the John Storm House, Oak Brook Farmhouse, and more!

Highlights:

• This tour will be enjoyed from a charter bus, making stops along the way to tour historic home interiors.
• See and learn about many historic buildings, including their history and architecture.
• Several stops inside historic homes.
• HisTOURy tour guides have backgrounds in historic preservation, architecture, and history.
• Because this tour takes you inside private homes, it is offered one day only, so don't miss out!
