Jane Bolin Day: A Celebration of Diversity in American Law

Celebrate Poughkeepsie's own trailblazer! In 1939, Jane Bolin shattered the glass ceiling and became the first Black woman judge in American history. This inaugural event will commemorate Judge Bolin's life and legacy and uplift diversity in contemporary American law.

There will be a panel discussion featuring current Black judges, information about local organizations, free food and door prizes.
