The Hudson River Valley Institute at Marist University, in conjunction with the New York State Historian, the New York State Museum, the New York State Library, the New York State Archives, the New York State Archives Partnership Trust, and the Cooperstown Graduate Program at SUNY Oneonta, is excited to announce that registration for the 2026 New York History Conference, “New York at 250: The Empire State’s Role in U.S. Independence," is now open! The conference will be held at Marist University on June 11 (12:30 p.m.–8:15 p.m.) and June 12 (8:30 a.m.–5:15 p.m.). The conference is open to the public and will feature a wide variety of presenters, exhibitors, and historical topics representing New York State’s diverse history.
