Storytime isnt just for kids! Celebrate National Library Week with Between the Stacks, an evening of stories brought to life by local talent. Featuring library-themed stories by Ray Bradbury, Susan Orlean, and more. Light refreshments will be served.
Meet the readers:
Stephen Paul Johnson is a 20-year veteran of the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, where 50 roles have included King Lear, Prospero, Shylock, and Titus Andronicus. Other regional theaters include The American Conservatory Theater (San Francisco), The Shakespeare Theatre (D.C.), The Denver Center Theater Company, and The Oregon Shakespeare Festival, as well as six years as Artist-in-Residence at Californias PCPA Theatrefest, and two international tours with West Side Story. Television appearances include Boardwalk Empire, Law & Order, and Law & Order: SVU.
Banna Rubinow studied theater at Interlochen Academy and Brandeis University. She has channeled her theater background and love of books into a lifelong career as a storytime reader working with children and adults and as an audiobook narrator with Full Cast Audio. She currently works at Three Arts Bookstore in Poughkeepsie, introducing readers to new stories to love.
Hazel Waldron is a performer from Albuquerque, N.M., currently pursuing a drama degree at Vassar College. Recent credits include Dracula (Bosque School), A Wrinkle in Time (Bosque School), Till Death Do Us Part (Vassar), and Kodachrome (Vassar).
