Clermont’s celebration of the Semiquincentennial begins with a series of presentations about Clermont at the brink of revolution. Join Interpretive Programs Assistant Emily Robinson for a talk about the Livingstons of Clermont in 1776 and the events that spurred them towards independence. Enjoy some liberty-tea punch and gingerbread cookies as you learn about the international incidents and familial circumstances that eventually brought the British to Clermont's doorstep.

This presentation complements the next installment in the America 250 series, “The People of Clermont in 1776,” on Sunday, March 15, presented by Site Manager Geoff Benton.
