Enjoy special planetarium shows on the Lunar New Year at the Mid-Hudson Discovery Museum!

• Moons of the Solar System (10 a.m. and 3 p.m.): Travel beyond Earth to explore the incredible moons of the solar system. In this immersive planetarium show, participants will learn the difference between planets and moons while flying past famous moons like Titan, Ganymede, Europa, Io, and Earth's own Moon. For ages 7 and up.

• "Larry Cat in Space" (11 a.m. and 2 p.m.): Take off on a lunar adventure with a curious stowaway cat in the Mid-Hudson Discovery Museum's digital 4K portable planetarium! "Larry Cat In Space" is a playful cartoon about an inquisitive cat who takes a trip to the Moon. Through Larry’s eyes, you'll observe his human family, a group of enthusiastic sky-watchers, and follow him on his journey to the Moon to reunite with his human Diana. For ages 4 and up.

• "One World, One Sky" (12 and 1 p.m.): Explore the night sky with Big Bird, Elmo, and a friend from China named Hu Hu Zhu! In this planetarium show featuring beloved characters from Sesame Street, you’ll learn about the Big Dipper, the North Star, the Sun and the Moon. For ages 3 and up.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Pay at the door. Space is limited, so secure your spot by arriving early! Planetarium seating is first-come, first-served, so please arrive at least one hour before your preferred showtime to secure your place.
