Bombs away! The squash goes squish at the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome's popular season-finale Pumpkin Bombing events, scheduled for Oct. 11, 12, 18 and 19!

It's the perfect way to finish another wonderful season of air shows, which are held every Saturday and Sunday through Oct. 19.

Gates open at 10 a.m., with pre-show activity starting at 2 p.m. and the air show starting at 2:30. Open-cockpit biplane rides are available before and after the air shows from 10 a.m. until twilight. The snack stand opens at noon.

Of course, the stars of the show are the historic airplanes. There are usually between 15 and 20 flyable aircraft for each show.

The Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome's museum is open May 1–Oct. 31 from 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
