In commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the start of the American Revolution, Historic Red Hook will host a series of lectures which will explore Revolutionary history in the Hudson Valley. The lectures will be held in the historic Elmendorph Inn, which was a post-road tavern in the 1700s.

• Sept. 20 — Sara Evenson: "Harvesting Hudson Valley: 18th Century Foodways" (This program will be ongoing all day during our Hardscrabble Day Open House from 10 a.m.–4 p.m.)

• Oct. 18 — Hadrien Coumans and Joe Baker: "Lenape Perspectives on the Revolution" (4 p.m.)
