The Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum presents "The Brave Montgomery: Major General Richard Montgomery and the Road to Quebec, 1775."

Among the earliest events with a Dutchess County connection to the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution is the untimely death of General Richard Montgomery, who was killed in action while leading the Continental Army’s invasion of Quebec in 1775. A resident of Rhinebeck, Montgomery’s legacy, and that of his wife Janet Livingston Montgomery, remain intertwined with the history of Dutchess County.

Join Dr. Michael Boden (Associate Professor of History at Dutchess Community College and military historian) in exploring Montgomery’s importance to the Revolutionary Era.

Click here to complete the required registration. The event will be held in the Henry A. Wallace Center.
