County Players, one of the longest-running community theatre companies in the area, is proud to present the adult comedy/drama “Lips Together, Teeth Apart” by Terrence McNally. This Main Stage production is directed by Kit Colbourn and opens Friday, July 11. Performances are scheduled for Fridays and Saturdays (July 11, 12, 18, 19, 25, 26) at 8 p.m., with matinees on Sunday, July 20, and Saturday, July 26, at 2 p.m. (there will be two shows on July 26).

Set on the beachside deck of a house on Fire Island during the 1990 Fourth of July weekend, McNally’s story imagines a gathering between two mismatched couples. Debate, discussion, and disclosure (including secrets, a mystery, and an affair) follow. The New Yorker called McNally’s play “A brilliant comedy.”
The production features the local talents of Deborah Coconis, Michael Frohnhoefer, Brian Kuchcicki, and Jenn Propfe. Content warning: Contains strong mature language.

Located in the historic Village of Wappingers Falls, the all-volunteer theatre company acquired the former Academy Theatre and renamed it the County Players Falls Theatre, their home since 1977.
