New York Stage and Film has been an incubator for emerging and established artists and their work since 1985, and this summer’s 40th annual festival on Marist University’s scenic riverfront campus features four weeks full of imaginative and insightful plays and musicals. Hundreds of artists trace their developmental roots to New York Stage and Film, including the Tony Award winners "Hamilton" (Lin-Manuel Miranda), "Hadestown" (Anais Mitchell), "The Humans" (Stephen Karam), and "Doubt" (John Patrick Shanley).

"The Woods"

• "The Woods" is an immersive concert experience created by San Fermin, led by composer Ellis Ludwig-Leone, and the adventurous production company BalletCollective, led by choreographer/director Troy Schumacher of the New York City Ballet.

• Venue: The River Rooms at Marist University

• Performances: July 26, 8 p.m.; July 27, 3 p.m.
