This Powerhouse Theater summer season at Vassar College features another superb lineup of imaginative and insightful plays, workshops and works-in-progress. For nearly 40 years, Powerhouse has been a launching pad for emerging artists and their groundbreaking works. In fact, the 2016 Tony Award winners for Best Play and Best Musical — Stephen Karam’s "The Humans" and Lin Manuel Miranda’s "Hamilton" — both trace their roots to Powerhouse. Perhaps one of this year's productions will be the next big smash!

"Oresteia"

• This adaptation of the Greek tragedy will intertwine and overlap the events of Aeschylus’ trilogy to ask: How can balance be restored when there are no gods?

• Venue: Susan Stein Shiva Theaterat Vassar College
