10:00 am - 3:00 pm
The Friends of the Clinton Community Library invite you to tour seven very different, beautiful and creative gardens in the Town of Clinton. Ticket purchasers can pick up a wristband and map with driving directions to the gardens at the library any time after 9:30 a.m. on the day of the event. This event will be held rain or shine.
On this tour which highlights eight beautifully situated gardens/landscapes you will visit a range of varied and diverse gardens from very historic to very modern. Some have evolved over a long period of time and others were created from a blank slate. As different as they are, though, their gardeners share some common wisdom:
Use the preexisting features of the property to structure your garden: the hills, ponds, stone walls and outbuildings.
Turn problem areas into focal points.
Accept that, no matter what you do, the deer will break your heart!
Be sure to visit a local cafe, market, brewery, winery or spirit shop after your tour. Experience Clinton and the tour hosts' garden treasures!
