Participate in a Japanese tradition, the flying of kites shaped like of carp or koi to honor children on Children's Day in early May. Families fly kites as a symbol of their wishes for their children. A group of carp kites can be arranged in a certain way to symbolize the family. For this program, each member of the family is encouraged to decorate their own carp windsock. All materials and instruction will be provided. This program will take place outdoors, weather permitting, with alternate indoor space if needed. Recommended for ages 4 and up.
