Head to the Mid-Hudson Discovery Museum on the Poughkeepsie Waterfront for a sweet time of friendly competition and festive fun, where engineering, creativity, and holiday spirit come together! Showcase your skills and imagination by designing and building edible structures entirely out of gingerbread, royal icing, and other sweet decorations while combining the principles of design, stability, and construction. This fun and educational event invites builders of all ages to explore how science, engineering, and architecture play a role in creating these sweet creations!
Entries will be judged on creativity, structural integrity, and overall presentation, so be sure to get imaginative with your designs, use interesting and unique decorations, and, most importantly, have fun! Entries will be judged by other museum guests; the winning team will be announced on Dec. 27. Prizes include a museum membership, museum admission tickets, and a museum gift basket.
Four people per team (must include one child per team). Registration by Dec. 16 is required.
