Art Opening Receptions at Cunneen-Hackett Arts Center

The Cunneen-Hackett Arts Center will hold free public art opening receptions in its visual art galleries for Lala Montoya, John McGiff and Logan Lapointe on Nov. 8 from 5–7 p.m. All exhibitions will be on display from Nov. 4 to Dec. 31.

Lala Montoya, who will exhibit her work in the Victorian Gallery at 9 Vassar Street, is inspired by nature to createpowerful earthen art of ceramics, wood carving, painting, and printing blocks. At 12 Vassar Street, John McGiffwill display his recent series of paintings in the Hancock Gallery that reinterprets Classic Greek mythological tales addressing the challenges and the possibility of self-transformation, and Logan Lapointewill present her paintingsin the Hancock Gallery that are inspired by the outdoor environment of her childhood.

The Victorian Gallery at 9 Vassar Street is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.–5 p.m. The Reception Gallery and Hancock Gallery at 12 Vassar Street are open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.–5 p.m. and also during events at the VBI Theatre.
