NT Live at The Moviehouse: "Prima Facie"

Jodie Comer’s Olivier and Tony award-winning performance in Suzie Miller’s gripping one-woman play, "Prima Facie," returns to cinemas, and The Moviehouse presents a screening of the play captured live from the intimate Harold Pinter Theatre in London’s West End. Justin Martin directs this solo tour de force.

Tessa is a young, brilliant barrister. She has worked her way up from working class origins to be at the top of her game: defending, cross-examining and winning. An unexpected event forces her to confront the lines where the patriarchal power of the law, burden of proof and morals diverge. "Prima Facie" strikes at the heart of where emotion and experience collide with the rules of the game.

This play includes sensitive subject matter including references to sex, violence, and rape. It is recommended for ages 12 and older.

Screenings are scheduled for Sept. 12 at 6:30 p.m. and Sept. 15 at 1:30 p.m.
