Bannerman Castle Trust's Third Sunday Music Concert Series: Tara O'Grady

Tara O'Grady is the featured performer on Sept. 15 as Bannerman Castle Trust presents its 2024 Third Sunday Concert Series at the historic castle on Pollepel Island in the Hudson River.

The daughter of Irish immigrants and raised in NYC, Tara now resides in the Hudson Valley. She’s been referred to as "an Irish American Jazz Powerhouse" by the Irish Central and “Resplendent, fun and a force of nature" by Jazz Ireland. This concert is free for visitors who have purchased tickets for the 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Bannerman Island tours. Relax and enjoy a scenic 30-minute boat ride from the Beacon dock to the island aboard the Estuary Steward tour boat. In addition to the concert, your stay on the island will feature a self-guided tour of the island, including the famous Bannerman Castle ruins and gardens. The whole experience is 2.5 hours, and you'll return to the Beacon dock aboard the Estuary Steward.

The Beacon dock is within walking distance of the Beacon Metro-North train station, so getting there is a snap!
