Join the Friends of the Walkway nonprofit organization and veterans from both Dutchess and Ulster County in celebrating those who served this nation.

Dutchess County Veteran Services and MHA Dutchess Vet2Vet will host resource and informational tables for Veterans on the East (Poughkeepsie) side of the Walkway. There will be food trucks and free food for Veterans and families, along with music and other entertainment.

Ulster County Veteran Services and HVNCVR Vet2Vet will host the same on the West (Highland) side. At 7:30 p.m., all guests will proceed toward the Walkway's Center Overlook led by Pipes and Drums. Veterans and residents from both sides of the Hudson will meet at the American flag for a ceremony and a fireworks show! There will be a special viewing area reserved for Veterans and their guests. This event is free to attend and open to all.
