"The Father Who Stayed" is a feature-length, music-driven cinematic experience about a single father mourning the loss of his only child, daughter Emily Rose. But it is also the story of life and death in America as told by those who have passed on. The concept and direction of the film was done by Beacon Bonfire Founder Jeremy Schonfeld, an award-winning, Billboard-charting singer/songwriter, composer/lyricist, producer and performer. The film was Beacon-made, and the musicians and actors in the film are primarily from the local area.

Parts “Our Town,” “Spoon River Anthology” and “The Last Waltz," "The Father Who Stayed" is the story of life, told in 27 songs.

The film is currently on the festival circuit and has already won awards and recognition. Enjoy this opportunity to gather as a community! There will be picnicking and family fun from 4–7 p.m., and the screening will be followed by a panel discussion at 7 p.m.

Bountiful parking onsite; seating is limited.
