Bannerman Island Gallery presents a new art exhibition showcasing the photography of Alec Halstead, which features fine art photographs of the Hudson River Valley, including Bannerman Island and Bannerman Castle. The exhibition will run Aug. 10–Sept. 8. The gallery is open Saturdays and Sundays from 12–5 p.m. and on weekdays by chance or appointment.

Be sure to attend the opening reception on Aug. 10 at 4 p.m. during BeaconArts' Second Saturday event. On the second Saturday of each month, galleries and businesses stay open late hosting arts and cultural events.

Also check out the ongoing West Wall Exhibition featuring works by Virginia Donovan (paintings) and Mary Ann Glass (photo mixed media). Ongoing show featuring Hudson Valley Paintings & Photography.

Art sale proceeds help support preservation projects on Bannerman Island.
