County Players, one of the longest-running community theatre companies in the area, is proud to present the adult comedy "Calendar Girls" by Tim Firth, based upon the Miramax motion picture by Juliette Towhidi and Tim Firth. This Main Stage production is directed by James Steinmeyer runs Sept. 8–23. Performances are scheduled for Fridays and Saturdays, Sept. 8, 9, 15, 16, 22 and 23 at 8 p.m., with matinees on Sunday, Sept. 17, and Saturday, Sept. 23, at 2 p.m. Click here to reserve tickets.
Based on the true story of eleven older women who posed nude for a calendar to raise money for the Leukemia Research Fund, "Calendar Girls" opened at the Chichester Festival Theatre and has since become the fastest-selling play in British theatre history.
The production features the local talents of Kit Colbourn, Donna Conway, Allison Lahikainen, Janet Nurre, Anna Marie Paolercio, Dylan Parkin, Steavie Reed, David J. Ringwood, Peggy Ringwood, Catherine Rush, Ruthie Turk, Erica Woolley and Scott Woolley.
