Upstate Films presents a free event with the film’s star in person: Sonita, a young Afghani refugee who finds a means of escape through music, in a story captured in Rokhsareh Ghaem Maghami’s award-winning documentary. Sonita is now a graduating Bard student and joins the presentation as she plans for the next chapter in her life. She will also sell her paintings at the event!
