Join Cary Institute for a hybrid book talk featuring author Leila Philip. In conversation with Cary President Dr. Joshua Ginsberg, Philip will discuss her new book: "Beaverland: How One Weird Rodent Made America."

In "Beaverland," Philip reveals the profound ways in which one animal and the trade surrounding it have shaped history, culture and our environment. She tells the ecological story of how this unusual rodent, once trapped to the point of extinction, returned to the landscape as one of the greatest conservation stories of the 20th century.

This event is free and open to all. Click here to complete the required registration.

The in-person portion of the event will be held in the Cary Institute auditorium. Registration is required; seating is first come, first served. Registrationdoes notguarantee a seat inside the auditorium.

Books will be available for purchase from MerrittBookstore.
