Found & Fixed: An Upcycled Furniture Pop-Up Shop at Gallery 40

Found & Fixed Hudson Valley is a new Poughkeepsie-based social enterprise that upcycles furniture. It is a women- and black-owned business that is in the process of incorporating as a worker cooperative. Several of their pieces will be on display at Gallery 40 during the month of March.

Found & Fixed Hudson Valley takes used pieces that might otherwise go to a landfill and gives them new life through repair, painting and refinishing. In addition to taking on their own pieces, they also work with clients on commissioned work. Where possible, they use sustainable and eco-friendly products on the pieces such as non-toxic paint and strippers. They are currently located in the industrial area of Poughkeepsie on Cottage Street. This pop-up expo and show is their first experience with what it may be like to have a showroom.

Meet Justine and Gabriel at the Opening Reception on March 4 from 5-7 p.m. The exhibition will be on display through March 26.
